Dear TCC Students, Faculty, Staff, Administrators and Community Partners,

We have completed our final interview of the virtual site visit with the Aspen Prize selection committee, and I just want to take a moment to share my heartfelt gratitude for all the time and effort everyone has put in to prepare for and participate in the interviews this week. The committee shared how impressive and helpful they found our team, and commended us for helping “progress the field of higher education.”

Looking ahead to early 2021, a jury will convene to select the prize winner, several finalists with distinction, and a rising star. The winner will be announced in May 2021.

Regardless of the outcome, I can’t tell you enough how proud I am of our entire team for the work that has been done to make us a top 10 finalist for the Aspen Prize. We are already #1 in my book. What we have accomplished as an institution in the face of continuous challenge and disruption is nothing short of remarkable.

Thank you for all you do each and every day to make TCC the national leader that it is!
