TCC Provost Named Miami Dade College President
Dear Faculty and Staff,
It is my honor to announce that Executive Vice President and Provost Madeline Pumariega has been unanimously selected by the Board of Trustees at Miami Dade College as their next president.
I am so incredibly proud of Madeline and all that she has accomplished in her career. Her selection to head MDC is just a reflection of what I have known about her for years – that she is an educational thought leader, a force for good, and the future of what higher education represents.
I can’t think of a better person to lead MDC into the future.
We will miss Madeline here at TCC, but what she accomplished during her time with us will leave a lasting impact and momentum. She broke down silos, championed an unrelenting focus on data, and provided leadership that made all the difference. Madeline helped elevate our high-performing team to even greater levels.
That legacy is particularly important during this time of great disruption. We will want to build upon that momentum going forward.
I hope you will join with me in congratulating Madeline, and wishing her all the best in her new role.
Thank you.
