Giving Thanks
2016 has been full of moments both challenging and inspiring. As we get ready to break for the Thanksgiving holiday, I find it so important to pause and reflect on what I am most grateful for.
I am thankful for the work we do here at Tallahassee Community College. I am thankful for being able to work with colleagues who are dedicated to TCC’s mission and are passionate about our students’ success. I am thankful for the students themselves who have been and will always be our purpose and our inspiration.
I am thankful for the tremendous privilege of leading TCC during its milestone 50th Anniversary year. I am thankful for my predecessors who not only helped build the incredible legacy of this institution but also continue to help guide me throughout my own tenure. I am thankful for our Trustees who continuously give beyond the call of duty and always have the best interests of the College at heart.
I am thankful for our community, which has championed TCC since its inception and has overwhelmed us with support and generosity during this past year. I am thankful to the leaders in our community for often working across sectors and aisles to envision a brighter future for the region.
And finally, I am thankful for my family. They keep me grounded and give me more reasons every day to be grateful.
Thanks to all of you for everything you do for the College. I hope you enjoy the extended holiday weekend and get some well-deserved time with family and friends.
Happy Thanksgiving!
