I am pleased to report that at their June meeting, our District Board of Trustees unanimously approved the 2024-25 fiscal year operating budget for Tallahassee State College. What a banner year it’s been for Tallahassee Community College! In twelve short months, we became the first Florida College System institution to be approved by the Florida Department of Education to sponsor public charter schools. We then became the sponsor for Tallahassee Collegiate Academy, our community’s first STEM-focused public charter high school where students have the opportunity to earn an Associate of Science degree in a STEM field simultaneously with their high school diploma. I wanted to share with you all that Vice President Kimberly Moore has submitted her resignation as she has accepted a position with Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona as their first-ever Chief Workforce Innovation Officer.
