Thanksgiving 2021
It’s Thanksgiving week and I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for our faculty, staff, administrators and students.
I am thankful for our faculty and staff who serve our students with passion and dedication each and every day, who choose to work and teach here at TCC because they believe in what we do, and have even dedicated their careers to ensuring everyone who walks through our doors has the opportunity to a great education and brighter future.
I am thankful to our administrators and leadership – deans and associate deans, directors and vice presidents – who keep us focused, who work diligently to ensure our teams have what they need to do their very best, and when needed, they always step in and step up to help as many students as they can along the way.
I am thankful for our institution. TCC is a community that cares. Over the past few weeks, I have seen efforts, both official and nonofficial, from food drives and giveaways to taking time in class to stop and connect with students, all to help those in need. This is part of who we are, and what make us a very special place.
Finally, I am thankful for our students for choosing Tallahassee Community College in order to achieve their educational goals. That choice indicates their trust in our institution to provide them with the opportunity to earn a College degree or credential. Their presence and perspectives help contribute to the rich culture we have. What an honor it is for us to be helping them with this leg of their journey.
Every day, but especially this time of year, I hope you will also practice gratitude to remind us all we have to be thankful for.
On behalf of the Executive Team, thank you for your hard work and perseverance.
Enjoy your time off with family and friends, and have a safe and happy Thanksgiving break!
