Preparing the Workforce North Florida Needs

At Tallahassee State College, we believe a successful career shouldn’t require four years of college—and it certainly shouldn’t require a mountain of debt. Today’s job market rewards skills, not just degrees. And at TSC, we’re meeting this moment with short-term and demand driven training programs that lead directly to employment.

From six-week certifications to two-year associate of science degrees, TSC offers flexible, affordable pathways in high-demand fields like healthcare, IT, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, public safety, transportation, manufacturing, and construction. We’re committed to removing financial barriers that stand in the way of training. Thanks to generous support from the Open Door scholarship, partners like Rebuild Florida and Sunshine Health, and scholarships provided through the TSC Foundation, many of our career certificates and associate in science programs are offered at no cost to students. This investment in our community ensures that more people can gain the skills they need for high-demand careers without the burden of tuition.

We work side-by-side with local employers to ensure our programs match workforce needs. That includes customized training, credit for prior learning, and new degree programs in areas like energy management, surgical technology, and respiratory care. Whether your goal is to enter, remain, or advance in the workforce, TSC can help you get the skills and credentials you need to succeed.

Tallahassee State College is grateful to the Florida College System Foundation for awarding scholarships that open doors for our students. This investment helps remove financial barriers, empowering more Eagles to pursue their education and prepare for in-demand careers across North Florida.

We’ve also stayed true to our promise of affordability. TSC hasn’t raised tuition in more than a decade. That matters, especially for first-generation college students and working adults who are balancing school, jobs, and families. Add in robust student support services like tutoring, career counseling, and job placement, and it’s clear: we don’t just help students start—we help them finish.

We are proud to be the workforce engine of this region. We are building pathways to economic mobility, reducing barriers to opportunity, and helping people find the dignity and independence that come from meaningful work. At TSC, we don’t just prepare students for jobs—we prepare them for better lives
