Happy Holidays
The holidays are the perfect time of the year to pause and reflect on what we’re thankful for.
I am thankful for our students who chose Tallahassee Community College. That choice indicates their trust in our institution to provide them with the opportunity to achieve their dream of earning a College degree. What an honor it is for us to be helping them in this endeavor.
I am thankful for our faculty and staff who take pride in their work and have a passion for helping our students and making an impact in our community. There is not a day that goes by that I do not see or hear about a member of our team who went above and beyond to help a student. I am even more grateful to those who are working hard every day to improve what we do and how we do it, always giving 100%.
I am thankful we have a college with a reputation for excellence. Having been named as one of the top 150 community colleges in the country by the Aspen Institute this year should be incredibly gratifying for all our students, faculty and staff, and community. I am also thankful for our alumni as they are part of that success. They enriched our campus during their time with us, graduated and went on to do great things, from police officers and nurses to nuclear engineers and chief justices, and now encourage their own children and grandchildren to attend here.
Finally, I am thankful for our community that has always taken great pride in its local institutions and continues to support TCC year after year.
I hope everyone enjoys the holidays and gets the chance to spend some time with friends and family. Have a safe and happy mid-year break!
