Tallahassee State College was proud to host the inaugural AI Innovation Summit in partnership with the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce. Held on our main campus, the summit brought together a dynamic mix of leaders from across the region\u2014representing education, business, government, technology, and healthcare\u2014to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping the way we live, learn, and work.

The energy and exchange of ideas throughout the event were nothing short of inspiring. Sessions focused on practical applications of AI across sectors, the ethical and economic implications of emerging technologies, and the pressing need to prepare our workforce for an AI-enabled future. From panel discussions to live demonstrations, the conversations were bold, collaborative, and focused on solutions.

I\u2019ve always believed that our role of a state college goes far beyond the classroom. We have a responsibility to prepare our students and the broader community for the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly evolving workforce. That\u2019s why we\u2019ve made it a priority to integrate AI literacy into our academic programs\u2014so our students aren\u2019t just learning how to use artificial intelligence, they\u2019re learning how to lead with it. Education should be both an engine of opportunity and a catalyst for resilience, and I\u2019m proud of the steps we\u2019re taking to deliver on that promise.

A recurring theme throughout the summit was clear: AI isn\u2019t here to replace people\u2014it\u2019s here to empower them. It will change how we work, what we prioritize, and how we deliver services. But at its core, it\u2019s a tool\u2014and like any tool, it\u2019s only as powerful as the people who use it. That\u2019s where education comes in.

We\u2019re grateful to the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce for their partnership in making this summit a reality, and to every speaker, panelist, and attendee who contributed to the conversation. This event marks the beginning of a critical regional dialogue\u2014and we\u2019re committed to keeping that conversation going.
