Dear Faculty and Staff,<\/p>\n
It is my honor to announce that Executive Vice President and Provost Madeline Pumariega has been unanimously selected by the Board of Trustees at Miami Dade College as their next president.<\/p>\n
I am so incredibly proud of Madeline and all that she has accomplished in her career. Her selection to head MDC is just a reflection of what I have known about her for years \u2013 that she is an educational thought leader, a force for good, and the future of what higher education represents.<\/p>\n
I can\u2019t think of a better person to lead MDC into the future.<\/p>\n
We will miss Madeline here at TCC, but what she accomplished during her time with us will leave a lasting impact and momentum. She broke down silos, championed an unrelenting focus on data, and provided leadership that made all the difference.\u00a0 Madeline helped elevate our high-performing team to even greater levels.<\/p>\n
That legacy is particularly important during this time of great disruption. We will want to build upon that momentum going forward.<\/p>\n
