Bargaining between Tallahassee State College and the United Faculty of Florida (UFF) – TSC Chapter to negotiate their sixth collective bargaining agreement (CBA) for the 2024-25 year concluded September 6, 2024 with a tentative agreement.
The faculty ratification vote concluded October 2, 2024 and out of the 187 eligible members, 98 voted to approve and four voted against.
At their October 21, 2024 meeting, the District Board of Trustees approved the 2024-25 CBA.
Prior Agreements
The full-time faculty, counselors and librarians of TCC voted to unionize on August 4, 2016, and the College began contract negotiations with the United Faculty of Florida (UFF) – TCC Chapter in September 2016. An impasse was declared the following September after a year of negotiations. Hearings with a magistrate were held March 1, 2018 and after the recommendations were accepted by both sides, an agreement was reached that August. UFF-TCC ratified the agreement on September 13, 2018. The District Board of Trustees approved the first College’s first Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) on October 22, 2018.
