Thank you for improving data security

Congratulations!

You have all done an amazing job at increasing the security of TCC data by reducing our vulnerability to email phishing schemes. A year ago, before you all took the KnowBe4 data security training, almost 14% of TCC employees clicked on a suspicious link in a simulated phishing email. We conduct simulated phishing campaigns monthly and I am pleased to tell you that only 0.18% of TCC employees fell victim to campaign that just concluded (see chart below). Even more impressive is the fact that the campaign that just completed used messages that were significantly more difficult to spot as phishing than what we used a year ago. That is remarkable, and you deserve all of the credit!

As phishing messages continue to get more sophisticated our monthly simulated phishing campaigns will also become more sophisticated. And in October, which is data security awareness month, you will again be asked to take a short refresher course on data security (this annual training is required by our auditors).

Thank you again for your attention to this important topic. Securing the data held by the College is a shared responsibility, and your help in this regard is very much appreciated.
