Colleagues:
—Bret
I am pleased to announce that the Executive Team has approved getting a Zoom site license for TCC. What this means is that all TCC faculty and staff will have the ability to have meetings of any length for up to 300 people. For faculty in particular it means that we will be integrating Canvas and Zoom, in addition to the Microsoft Teams integration that is now available.
At this time we need to wait for Zoom to activate our new license before we can remove the 40 minute restriction from any additional zoom accounts. We expect them to activate the site license within the next day (fingers crossed) and then the IT team will need to activate single sign on. If you already have a zoom account, please continue to use it. If you do not currently have a Zoom account please wait until our new site license is active before signing up. Once everything is in place, all TCC employees will be able to log in and get an unrestricted zoom account automatically, without needing to contact IT or Academic Affairs. I will email you when zoom is ready to go.
So please watch your email. You will be receiving additional information over the coming days from my IT colleagues and me about zoom and other technologies to assist you with academic and business continuity.
