Information Technology (IT) is pleased to offer new ways to contact the Help Desk and to stay up-to-date on technology issues at the College. In addition to calling, you can now contact us through webchat, Facebook, Twitter and text message. And if you follow us on Facebook and Twitter you will be able to quickly receive important IT updates and information.
We will be piloting these new technologies for the next few weeks before we provide students the ability to contact the enrollment call center using these same technologies. So we would appreciate it if you would give some of these a try and let us know how they work for you and if you experience any problems.
Webchat
On the Help Desk web page at http://askit.tcc.fl.edu there is a new link to “Chat with Us.” Clicking this link will open a window to start a web chat with a member of our staff.
Facebook
On Facebook, find us @TCCaskIT or search for “tcc askit”. Once on our page you will see a button labelled “Send Message.” Clicking that during our normal business hours will start a Facebook Messenger session with a member of our staff. And if you like and follow us you will see our system and services notifications appear in your newsfeed.
Twitter
The IT Help Desk is on Twitter @TCCaskIT. Follow us to receive the latest system and services notifications, or you can contact the Help Desk during our normal business hours by sending a direct message to @tccaskit
Text Message (SMS)
Simply send a text message to (850) 201-8545 during our normal business hours to be connected to a member of our staff. Please note that standard message rates will apply to the use of text messaging.
